Did you know each kanji has the "right" order in its strokes? It is not that the Japanese strictly follow this government-issued rule on a daily basis, but they say with the right stroke order, your kanjis will become neater, and you will also be able to write them quicker.
Here is the book for you to check out those stroke orders of the kanjis Japanese fifth graders are required to learn.
The book is a one-stroke-per-page flash card style, and it can also be served as a quiz material to check out how many parts of a kanji are enough for you to tell which one is being shown.

Kanji Strokes 〔1st and 2nd grade〕 edition by MP Visual Reference eBooks Reviews
A useful little book.
The structure is that each page has a kanji stroke and by turning the page you build up the kanji until the kanji is complete and then the next page has the completed kanji with the kanji's readings for and a couple of example words.
It's useful for practicing kanji recognition as the student can guess as they turn the pages what the kanji they are building is. And that process also reinforces the stroke order - also a useful thing for Japanese learners.
I also liked that the book doesn't use any romaji - only kana and kanji. That makes it even more useful to me.
I tried it on my computer and on my tablet and I liked it a little better on the computer as it was a bit faster to build the kanji. Not sure why that was but there's not a lot of difference so I think the student will get something out of this book no matter the device.
Recommended.
